Sculpin Wool

From the USA comes this genuine Sculpin Wool.

Simple to use, sculpin wool is excellent for smaller muddler style patterns, permit crabs, sculpins or woolheads.

To use, take a small amount from the pack - about a pencil diameter worth and offer up against the hook shank at a 60 degree angle, take three LOOSE turns of thread around it and the hook shank, then tighten your thread and let go of the wool.

Alternatively, find the centre of each each piece of wool and thread that piece of wool onto the hook from the eye end - then wrap three turns of thread and tighten to spin the wool.

It will spin like deer hair - take a few turns in front and add another amount to build up a body or head.

The wool can then be trimmed with scissors to shape.

This sculpin wool will take a permanent marker, giving you the possibility of creating a wide range of coloured heads and bodies.
