This is a 20 denier single strand nylon thread  – one of the finest in size on the market today.

( Also, this particular thread is made in Italy!)

Very little build up when tying and the thread disappears into the dressing but with only a 4 oz breaking strain, I would suggest you re-spool the thread onto a sewing machine bobbin and set your bobbin holder to allow the spool to turn freely.

Caenis DOES have strength and you will be able to bend a hook with it but the thread has a habit of snapping if you forget that it had virtually no stretch!

200 yards on a spool, only available in black and white, but does takes a permanent marker.
