Poly Chenille, sometimes known as “Floatant Chenille” is similar to a suede chenille but has slightly more open fibres so floats very well.
It is also produced in very realistic colours.
Can be used as both body on nymph, emerger or winged mayfly & caddis and is ideal for extended bodies.
You can use a lighter and “dab” on the end of the Poly Chenille to get a nice tapered finish.
To further improve the floatability, I would suggest impregnating the material with a liquid floatant and tying it together with hair material or other highly floating material.
