Rayon Chenille has been used in flytying for decades but seems to have been over-looked in recent years with the introduction of the fritz style chenilles.

This material has a silky sheen to it and is very easy to tie with – simply expose a small amount of the core, catch in and wrap on the hook shank.

Dozens of “old school” patterns rely on this excellent material – the Montana for example does not look OR PERFORM the same if tied with modern materials – Rayon Chenille holds its colour when wet and soaks up water, getting your pattern down to the fish quickly.
