The UNI-Strap keeps both wire and thread in place and ready to use when you need it.
In fact, you can use one of these simple but effective little straps on any spool that fits in a bobbin holder.
The small textile elastic slides easily on the spool while pulling off a length of wire/thread and the small hole keeps the end ready for use.
